Game: Banjo Kazooie - The Bear Waker
RetroArch: RetroArch Xtreme 1.8.4
Core: Ludicrous Xtreme Amped (2k22)
SD or HD: Best played in HD
16:9 Resolution: 640 x 360
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Xtreme TurboBoost: X1
Xtreme OverClock: 0
Audio Latency: 128
--------------------------------
Plays really well despite requiring a frameskip of 1 (TurboBoost -X1), the frameskip is required though to eliminate audio break up during the game. Even with this frameskip (which is something I don't like in a game) then it doesn't detract from the playabilty of the game due to the nature of the graphics...
Only glitch in this one and this applies to ALL the Banjo Kazooie games is that on the pause menu screen the background is filled with random coloured dots instead of a darkened image of the screen when you paused the game. This is due to a frame buffering issue and sadly can't be resolved on this core but again it doesn't detract from the actual gameplay itself...
NOTE: To play this game you MUST have the "Virtual Memory" hmod installed or it wont even load to begin with, also note that upon launching the game it does take quite a while to load/ start due to the size of the ROM, so be patient it will start eventually...
